What a cute lil girl in that photo...nice update! You're sure growing a lot of stuff. I've never gotten used to okra. Your beans sound really cool...exotic names I never heard of! Can you tell me about lemon balm? What do you use it for?
ReplyDeleteI never like okra until last summer. Then I had it 2 ways: 1)sauted with tomatoes and basil and 2)seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper and grilled on the fire - oh, yum!
ReplyDeleteYou could add lemon balm to tea or stuff it with celery and onion into a chicken cavity before roasting; however, I just got it because I liked the smell :)
I need so many ideas for our garden - I don;t think we are going to have time to build one now. MOst people are telling us it is too late. What do you think?
ReplyDeletePres. Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's too late. It would be too late to start from seeds, but you could buy seedlings and be fine. Also, you could plan a Fall Garden now: http://www.motherearthnews.com/Organic-Gardening/Fall-Gardening-Best-Fall-Garden.aspx
